Why We are Different

We work with some of the most complicated and challenging cases (autoimmune, gastrointestinal, chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia, just to name a few). Our patients come to us from all over Texas–and indeed, the United States–for help; we even have international patients! Some of our patients have been to San Antonio’s Medical Center, Dallas-Fort Worth’s Medical City, naturopathic doctors in Austin and Houston, and even world-famous clinics, such as the Mayo Clinic, before finding us. We’ve been able to find complete answers and provide realistic solutions, giving our patients substantial relief and hope, when other doctors have either failed, or just given up.

Some people see the words “chiropractic”, “nutritional counseling”, or “massage therapy” and may figure that we offer more of the same in our office; when in reality, we are far, far different. Occasionally, it can be confusing to those who aren’t sure what to expect. This part of our site was designed specifically to give you a bird’s eye view of the various services we offer and how we can help YOU.

• Looks much like nutritional counseling, and is similar to naturopathy, but takes those solutions to a whole new scientific level.

• Is the ONLY approach that can effectively manage autoimmune conditions, with minimal (if any) side effects. In fact, a Functional Medicine approach is often more effective than pharmaceutical treatment.

• Helps YOU understand what’s going on, so that you can be an effective part of your own healthcare team…instead of being left in the dark, and out of the loop.

• Can pick up where regular medicine leaves off or falls short – we run more tests, so we have more information.

• Sessions are generally 30-minute whole-body treatments, not just 3-5 minutes on the neck and back.
• Incorporates Functional Neurology into every visit. Most aches, pains, falls, spasms, lack of coordination, and indeed even other issues like digestive problems, mood swings, and even stress, can be traced back to a faulty nervous system. Functional neurological adjustments help to restore this function!
• Looks to re-establish neuromusculoskeletal balance throughout the body, which means that visits include associated muscle work along with neurologically correct adjustments.
• Muscle function is evaluated before and after the adjustment so that you know the adjustment worked.
• You’re evaluated for function and quality of life, NOT just pain.
• Safe! There is limited rotation (turning) of the head during neck adjustments – patients can always choose between neck adjustments by hand or by instrument.
• Not every case calls for x-rays or other imaging, but if there is any uncertainty, we work with an excellent, reputable local imaging center to get the studies you need.
• The doctor is highly skilled in multiple adjusting methods, including instrument such as Activator and Integrator, and non-force techniques such as Sacral-Occipital (SOT) and BEST; we have multiple ways of getting the job done, to help put you at ease.
• No up-front investments, high-pressure presentations, or excessively long-term treatment plans, only what YOU need.

• Actually assesses the WHOLE body for muscle imbalance.
• SPECIFICALLY targets the cause of the discomfort.
• Addresses the actual imbalance, without merely chasing the pain.
